In February, as the nation honors Black History Month, the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) Center for Student Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (CSDEI) is offering a full schedule of campus events for students, faculty, and staff to join the celebration.
“Black History Month is a time for celebration, recognition, and reflection of the achievements and importance of black Americans in the United States and around the world,” said John Hudson, director of CSDEI. “We’re proud to honor this month by screening films depicting the lives and stories of people of color, hosting events that showcase a piece of African American culture and celebrating those in this community on our campus.”
Highlights include film screenings, campus discourse and art and music celebrations. To view the UHD CSDEI Black History Month calendar, click here.
