Last week, two Texas state legislators visited the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) campus to show their commitment to the University’s mission and its students. On Oct. 17, State Sen. Eddie Lucio, Jr. of District 27 met with Dr. Juan Sánchez Muñoz, UHD President, faculty and students from the University’s Honors program. Two days later, State Rep. Armando Walle of House District 140 also visited campus to assess areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey. David Bradley, UHD Vice President of Administration and Finance, led a tour of first floor facilities that are still recovering from the storm. Members of UHD’s Student Government Association also had an opportunity to meet with Walle.
