Oct. 2: Dr. Kevin Buckler, associate professor of criminal justice, discussed the recent Las Vegas shootings on Houston Public Media’s “Houston Matters.”

Oct. 2: Former UHD police chief Richard Boyle announced his retirement from the Galveston Police Department in an article in the Galveston County Daily News. 

Oct. 1: Student Reavelyn Pray was featured in a recent edition of Study Breaks.

Sept. 29: UHD students were mentioned in a Houston Chronicle article on a research collaboration with UH focused on water contamination following Harvey.

Sept. 27: Dr. David Branham, associate professor of political science, was among the featured experts on Houston Public Media’s “Houston Matters” political round-up. 

Sept. 25: UHD and professor Dr. Dawn McCarty were featured in KTRK ABC13 and Univision KXLAN 45’s DACA Town Hall Meeting. The event was streamed live and previewed in this ABC13 news story.

Sept. 12: Rebecca Pfeffer, assistant professor of criminal justice, wrote an article for the Houston Chronicle column “Gray Matters, on community action following Harvey.
