Heroes of Harvey: UHD Community Pulls Together to Restore Campus

The Gator community came together during Harvey. Staff members and contractors worked around the clock to restore the University of Houston-Downtown campus, so that it would be ready for classes on Sept. 5.

"I commend our diligent staff members who are working around the clock to ensure that our facilities and online services are fully operational," said UHD President Dr. Juan Sánchez Muñoz during the clean-up and repairs. "These are dedicated professionals who spent time away from their families and homes to restore UHD. Their service to our University and the community is beyond measure, and they exemplify what being a Gator is all about."
