During the annual enrollment period, employees can make changes to their benefits portfolios without a qualifying life event; add or drop health, life, or disability insurance or update their insurance coverage. Employees may also enroll in a health care and/or dependent care spending account or cancel an existing one. If you don’t need to change your benefits portfolio, you don’t have to do anything. Your current benefits will remain the same for the upcoming academic year, Sept. 1, 2017 ‒ Aug. 31, 2018.
Employees can make changes to their benefits portfolio during the annual enrollment period (July 9 ‒ 22), in one of three ways:
- Online: 24/7 with the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS)
- Phone: Contact ERS at 1-866-399‐6908 during regular business hours
- Appointment: Employment Services and Operations (ESO) with Paula Jannett at extension 8463 to complete the required 2017 Summer Enrollment Form
