COB ‘Meet the Industry’ Symposium Slated for Feb. 10

The University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) College of Business invites the University community to its eighth annual “Meet the Industry” event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10, in the UHD Shea Street Building, 320 North Main Street. CEO and Founder of Nation Waste, Maria Rios, will serve as keynote speaker. The event will include morning panel sessions, and will introduce students to a wide variety of industries and careers pertaining to, but not limited to:

  • Accounting
  • Business
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Finance
  • Human Resource Management
  • Insurance And Risk Management
  • Management
  • Management Information Systems
  • Marketing
  • Supply Chain

Who should attend?

Currently enrolled College of Business majors & MBA’s are encouraged to attend. Attendees must present government issued ID and have their UHD 900 number ready for verification at check-in.

Registration

Tickets are free but registration is required at Eventbrite. Registration ends once we reach capacity or by 10 a.m. on Feb. 8. Registration includes a free catered buffet lunch and attendance to all Sessions and Keynote. No phone, email or walk-in registrations are accepted. Check-in time is at 8 a.m.; business professional dress is encouraged.
