Fall 2016 Commencement Volunteers Needed

UH-Downtown held it's commencement ceremonies in Houston, Tx, on 5-15-16. photos by John Everett It's an exciting time of year at University of Houston-Downtown (UHD). The Fall 2016 Commencement ceremony is just a few weeks away, and volunteers are needed to help welcome graduates' families and friends to the venue, distribute programs, direct guests to seats, help students check in, and assist with special accommodations and other needs that may arise.

The ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 at Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros. Gates will open for students and guests at 8:30 a.m. with the procession starting at 10:15 a.m.

This year, The College of Business Graduate Programs will hold a separate commencement at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18 at Bayou City Event Center. Gates will open for students and guests at 12:30 p.m. with the procession starting at 1:30 p.m.

Volunteers are needed for both events. Helping out with the commencement ceremonies is a fun and meaningful activity. Sign up and become part of one of the most important UHD events of the year. To volunteer, complete the online Volunteer Sign-Up Form.
