UHD in the News: Nov. 17, 2016

KHOU: UHD Interim President Michael A. Olivas was featured in a broadcast entitled, "How Trump's Immigration Plan Impacts Houston." President Olivas is a local immigration law expert.

Houston Chronicle: Olivas also was quoted in an article that talks about future uncertainty for undocumented or DACA students.

USA Today: Kristin Anderson, professor of psychology at UHD, was quoted in the article, "Voices: What trump's Victory Tells Us about Women."

Houston Chronicle: UHD assistant professor Daniel Peña was featured in an article for his recent Pushcart Prize. Pena received this prestigious prize for his story "Safe Home," which was published last year in the literary journal Ploughares.

Caller-Times: UHD associate professor of history Gene Preuss was mentioned in the article, "Memoir Details Life of First Mexican American Secretary of Education." The article talks about a book, "A Kineño's Journey, in which Preuss co-authored.

Houston Chronicle: The University was mentioned the article, "Delphians Celebrate Scholarship Recipients." Delphian members from chapters around the city got acquainted with five of the women chosen to receive individual scholarships to the University of Houston and UHD.
