Supply Chain Students Tour Leading Distribution Company

sscma-1Members of the Student Supply Chain Management organization (SSCM) as well as some Supply Chain Management majors took a tour and site visit of Stolt-Nilsen on October 14. With offices throughout the world and three locations in the Houston market, Stolt-Nielsen is a leading global provider of bulk-liquid transportation, storage and distribution services.

"The tour was filled with much advice, knowledge, and most all, just plain fun," said student Gregory Wu. "It will definitely add value to our educational experience at UHD."

Student Arzoo Kazmi concurred and said that visiting an organization such as Stolt-Nilsen was particularly informative and complemented her experience at the College of Business.

"As a Supply Chain Management student, I learned a lot about logistics and the different scenarios that a logistics professional has to deal with at a global organization," Kazmi said.

The site visit was facilitated by the College of Business Career Center in conjunction with SSCM and its faculty advisor, Dr. Jonathan Davis.
