HIPs Showcase a Great Success

The University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) High-Impact Practices Showcase, held in room A300, was deemed a great success by all who attended and participated.

Provost Edward Hugetz kicked off the event with opening remarks and the introduction of faculty and student presenters.They presented on topics ranging from human trafficking and speed networking to bioreactors and digital literacy.

The event also included poster presentations, a catered lunch, and engaging, roundtable discussions. Round table discussions were led by Beth Sector; Karn Schlag, Ph.D; Timothy Redl, Ph.D.; Mari-Nicholson-Preuss, Ph.D.; Meghan Minard, Ph.D.; Garbriela Bowden, Ph.D.; Windy Lawrence, Ph.D.; Paul Fortunato, Ph.D.; Vida Robertson, Ph.D.; Larisa, Ph.D.; Elizabeth Hatfield, Ph.D.; Jon Aoki, Ph.D.; and Eszter Trufan, Ph.D.
