Friday, April 15, University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) students from various organizations gathered to volunteer at the annual Ed's Bayou Clean Up. The students collected more than 900 pounds of trash in an effort to make UHD and surrounding areas cleaner and greener.

The event was a great success. The University Honors Program collected 342 pounds; the Black Student Association (BSA) collected 301 pounds; Student Government (SGA) Community Outreach collected 206 pounds; and the Garden Club collected 79 pounds.
