UHD to Go Western Friday, Feb. 26, on Go Texan Day

98b691514976393e145a747637f16fd7Friday, April 26, is Go Texan Day, a time for Houstonians to dust off their cowboy boots and hats and wear western attire to work.

The day was organized by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) in the 1950s as a way to preserve proud Texas traditions and draw attention to the rodeo. The day also kicks off the three-week schedule of HLSR events.

UHD employees are encouraged to come to work on Friday dressed in their best western wear or even decorate their offices. Be sure to snap some pictures and send them to news.uhd.edu for publication.
