Donated Toys Delivered to the Children's Advocacy Center

rrOn Dec. 4, 2015 representatives from the Houston area Children's Advocacy Center hosted members of the Department of Criminal Justice faculty and Jennifer Rowland, Ph.D., director of Center for Public Service and Family Strengths for a tour of their facility.

During this tour, donated toys from the university-wide toy drive were delivered to the CAC. Led by Ashley Blackburn, Ph.D., associate professor in criminal justice, the toy drive was co-sponsored by the Department of Criminal Justice and Social Work, the Center for Public Service and Family Strengths and the College of Public Service. Blackburn and colleagues are thankful for everyone who participated in the toy drive for the CAC.

There are a number of opportunities for students to become involved with the CAC as a volunteer, intern or staff member. For more information, please visit The Children's Assessment Center.
