UHD Hosts Holidays Around the World Exhibit

UHD is hosting the Holidays Around the World exhibit, a miniature tree display to promote the unique culture, heritage, or holiday traditions of their country or region using ornaments and national symbols. The exhibit is located by the third floor mural area.

Faculty, staff and students are welcomed to view the exhibit and are encouraged to consider purchasing a tree of their own. The UHD UNA Chapter has a decorated tree displayed as well.

The Consular Ladies Club of Houston presents Holidays Around the World in partnership with Consular Corps-Houston, the Mayor's Office of Trade & International Affairs and the University of Houston-Downtown.

For information on how to purchase a tree, please visit the Charity Auction.

All proceeds benefit the Houston Food Bank.

In other news, on Nov. 19-21, the UNA-UHD team competed in a Model UN conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

Three members received the highest scores in their committee for Position Paper and two members, Eisha Khan and Katy De La O, received Best First Time Delegates.

The UNA-UHD will participate in many more conferences in the future, including places like Commerce and even Istanbul Turkey. The UNA-UHD also has intentions of participating in Model Arab League at UH-Main campus sometime during February.

This organization meets every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in room N420.
