College of Business Career Fair Sees Record Student Attendance

The College of Business (COB) Career Center held its Fall 2015 Business Career Fair Sept.17-18, in the Shea Street Building. The Career Fair featured 60 employers over two days. This year, for the first time, the event was scheduled over a two-day period to accommodate the various work and class schedules that often impede students from attending a one-day event. Student attendance rose to 217, which is an increase of 97 percent over the previous year, the largest attendance to date for the COB Fall Business Career Fair.

"I'd like to give a special 'thank you' to those employers who participated at the Career Fair this year and to student members of the Professional Accounting Society (PAS) who volunteered at the employer registration booth," said Brett Hobby, director of the COB Career Center.

The COB Career Center provides a gift for the first student to arrive at each career fair. Accounting major Jason Dawkins was last week's winner.
