Tomikia LeGrande Appointed to Associate Vice President of Student Affairs

tomikialegrandeAs part of a reorganization of the provost's office to strengthen UHD's commitment to student access and success, Provost Ed Hugetz created a new position of associate vice president of student affairs and eliminated the dean of enrollment management position. In this new structure, the dean of students will report to the associate vice president, who will oversee both enrollment management and student life. Hugetz has appointed Tomikia LeGrande to this position, and she will continue to report directly to him.

Responsibilities of this position include leading efforts to develop comprehensive student success programs that build a strong sense of community and promote growth through engagement in the life of the University, while partnering with academic departments and faculty to continue to achieve institutional enrollment goals.

"During her tenure at UHD, Ms. LeGrande has brought leadership and administrative skills to her role as dean of enrollment management through improvement of services and programs to recruit and retain students," said Hugetz. "I am confident that Ms. LeGrande in her new role will continue to serve enrollment management effectively and become an asset to the operation of student life in their efforts to serve students in the pursuit of their goals."
