University College Alumni to Talk Career Options in Panel Discussion

On February 25, University College will present an alumni panel discussion about the career possibilities for students with Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (BS-IS) or Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Applied Administration (BAAS-AA) degrees. The program, entitled "Major Opportunities: Connecting my degree to my career," will include a panel consisting of the following University College alumni:

Barbara Canetti , Retired BS-IS Coordinator, alumna and panel chair

Albert Alonzo, Case Manager to U.S. Bankruptcy Judge David R. Jones, US Courts (BS-IS)

Mark Ferguson, Director, Controls and Utilities, at UT Health Science Center Houston (BS-IS)

Kenneth Smith, Network Engineer at Lone Star College (BAAS-AA)

Amanda Hudson, Physical Therapy Doctoral Program student at Texas Women's University (BAAS-AA)

The panel discussion will take place Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, from 1-2:30 p.m. in room A300. The panel will discuss their current professional roles, how they apply their education every day, and the ways in which current students can use their degrees.
