TTLC, CTLE Call for Proposals for Technology Learning Conference

The faculty and staff at the University of Houston-Downtown are invited to attend and present at the Technology Learning Conference (TLC), to be held April 13-15, 2015. Conference attendees will showcase, discuss, and demonstrate classroom use of technology. This year, the Technology Teaching and Learning Center (TTLC) and the newly established Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) will present a new three-day seminar featuring a dynamic keynote speaker each day.

Online registration is open and proposals are now being accepted with a priority due date of Monday, February 23. Proposals in one of the following tracks can be submitted online:

Best Practices in Student Engagement: From course design to delivery of content in the face-to-face or virtual classroom, this track applies to any research or implementation that seeks to assess or enhance student motivation and engagement for the purpose of enhanced student learning. This track is NOT limited to the use of technology to enhance learning.

Teaching and Learning Technologies: Presentations in this track will highlight successful technology approaches, overview assessment data, and demonstrate technology tools with a focus on improving student learning.

Innovative Resources: Presentations in this track will highlight novel strategies for working collaboratively and utilizing novel resources (i.e. Open Education Resources - OER, communities of practice, productivity tools, etc.) for enhancing their courses.
