Visiting Artist Meets with UHD Students

Eric Telfort, whose work is presently being shown at UHD's O'Kane Gallery, recently met with students involved in the visual arts to share his expertise and advice.

Telfort, who grew up in Little Haiti in Miami, presently teaches at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island. His willingness to share his expertise in working with oil paints was enormously appreciated by the students. Floyd Newsum, professor of art, congratulated Mark Cervenka, O'Kane Gallery director, for arranging the Telfort exhibit and noted how the O'Kane Gallery has consistently attracted nationally and internationally renowned artists to UHD.

The exhibit of Telfort's work can be seen on display until Dec. 14.
