Criminal Justice Training Center Continues to Excel

The UHD Criminal Justice Training Center is a first-rate facility that continues to turn out highly skilled and qualified cadets ready to enter the criminal justice field.

As of Sept. 12, 252 cadets from seven classes in fiscal year 2013 passed the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standard and Education (TCLEOSE) exam with 100 percent passing on the first attempt.

For fiscal year 2012, 100 percent of the CJTC's 258 cadets completed the academy and passed the state licensing exam on the first attempt. In 2011, 328 of the 330 cadets passed the exam on the first attempt.

For the previous three years, as calculated by TCLEOSE, UHD's CJTC has a 99.9 percent overall state pass average.
