Sandra Garcia, assistant vice president for Academic Affairs, offered her congratulations to the project participants and researchers and said, "There will be a great amount of exceptional research being conducted this summer on campus and I look forward to the outcome of these outstanding projects.

"The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) received a large number of very good proposals, which made for a very tough round of competition. Unfortunately, ORSP was unable to fund everyone this round, however there will be a new round of ORCA funding that will be available this fall. Everyone who is interested in pursuing their research should be on the lookout for the announcement which will be out at the beginning of this summer. Also, I thank the ORCA Review Committee for their time and effort on this process."
