CIET Alumni Speak with Current Students at Networking Event

UHD's ISA (International Society of Automation) Student Chapter held an alumni mixer event Oct. 19, where students had a rare opportunity to meet and network with graduates from the Control and Instrumentation Engineering Technology (CIET) program.

Alumni included Joseph Alvarado, I&C maintenance engineer of LyondellBasell; Bruce Hunter, engineering technology lab manager at UHD; Swati Kale, senior instrumentation engineer at Dow Chemical; Duy Le, graduate engineer at the City of Houston. Representing a range of fields from utility and chemical industries to engineering education, these alumni shared their successful stories and advice with current students. They also encouraged current students to stay focused and persevere in their pursuit of knowledge and skills. With the abundance of job opportunities for automation and control engineers, CIET students are looking forward to challenging and yet rewarding future professional careers in a broad range of industries.

Students hear presentations from CIET alumni.
