UHD student Diana Lopez will begin her quest for Olympic gold on Thursday, Aug. 9.

Lopez will compete in the Featherweight division of the Taekwondo competition and will face off against China's Yuzhuo Hou in the preliminary round at 9 a.m. (London time).

The quarterfinal, semifinal, bronze medal and gold medal matches will be throughout the day Thursday. For more information on the matches, visit NBC's Olympic site.
