Renowned Nuclear Scientist to Speak at UHD Friday

The UHD Department of Natural Sciences and the Scholars Academy will host a presentation by Dr. Waclaw Gudowski, Professor in Neutron and Reactor Physics at the Royal Institute of Technology (RIT) in Stockholm, Sweden, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, in room 1099-North.

Gudowski is also the Head of the Reactor Physics Group, Director of the Nuclear Energy Technology Centre (CEKERT) at RIT, and the Deputy Executive Director of the International Science and Technology Centre in Moscow.

His presentation is called "From Nuclear Science to Non-Proliferation Diplomacy Policy and Back: Experiences from the International Science and Technology Center in Moscow."

During Dr. Gudowski's visit to UHD, the Scholars Academy will host a private luncheon to honor him and the undergraduate students who are the recipients of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission grant awarded to UHD in the Spring.
