Teresa Dolan, a UHD Master of Arts in Teaching graduate, brought an excited group of fourth and fifth graders to UHD for a college visit May 14.

The group toured the campus, including the Commerce Street Building, visited the Admissions Office, and enjoyed a science demonstration from natural sciences instructor Mike Matson. The students then hopped on the light rail and ate lunch in the Houston tunnel system.

According to Anjoo Sikka, urban education professor, "This visit was a great way to 'close the cirlce' on the linkages between K-12 and higher education."
