Philosophy Club and Honor Society Partner to Present Lecture

By: Mary Ann Cozza

UHD's Philosophy Club and chapter of Phi Sigma Tau, the International Philosophy Honor Society, have partnered to present a lecture by UHD associate professor Andrew Pavelich called "What Philosophy Can Tell Us About God," from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, in N621, One Main Building.

According to Pavelich, philosophers have argued about the existence and non-existence of God since the rise of Christianity. While some arguments are interesting, others are ridiculous and few are convincing. This lecture will examine what philosophy can tell us about God.

Pavelich has taught at UHD for nine years. He is currently working on a book that will examine the arguments for and against God.
