Chemistry Club Hears Lecture by Crime Lab Director

The UHD Chemistry Club and faculty adviser Michael Matson attended a lecture by Pam McInnis, director of the Pasadena crime lab, on Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land.

McInnis’ talk focused on evidence collection and handling, serology analysis, bloodstain pattern analysis, crime scene investigation, and luminol and fluorescein, chemicals that can detect blood.

Following the event, the students were able to speak with McInnis and ask questions.
