To honor the many contributions Dr. Susan Kiernan Ahern made in building the English department, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and UHD, the Susan Kiernan Ahern Memorial Scholarship Endowment will be established by her family, friends and colleagues. Her husband Phil Ahern, along with Dr. Pat Mosier, Dr. Jane Creighton and I, feel strongly that Susan's student-centered vision of the college and university would best be memorialized by a scholarship to aid students in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at UHD.

Contributions in any amount in Dr. Ahern's honor are much appreciated by Susan's family and her colleagues, many of whom generously have indicated over the last few weeks their intent to make a contribution in her memory. You can contribute by mailing a check, payable to UHD (please designate on the check memo field that it is for the Susan Kiernan Ahern Endowed Scholarship fund) to:
