One UHD student organization is taking the initiative by hosting a great business learning opportunity. The UHD chapter of the Financial Management Association is hosting a workshop on the use of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and modeling by Michael Tran, portfolio credit risk manager at Shell Trading. The event is from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, in B-208, Shea Street Building.
Tran’s expertise is in financial modeling/valuation and using quantitative analytics to measure portfolio risk and counterparty credit risk exposure. He works with commercial, underwriting, and contracts and negotiation teams to estimate potential future exposure and deal risks.
Tran has a degree in Finance from the Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
