Grad School and Internship Fair Brings Major Universities to Campus

Last Friday, Oct. 7, UHD hosted numerous top-tier universities and companies at the 12th annual Graduate School and Internship Fair.

About 175 undergraduate Scholars Academy students were able to meet with representatives from 38 graduate, professional or internship programs and 24 institutions/companies.

Schools included the Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Chicago, Texas A&M University and Johns Hopkins University among others. The City of Houston Crime Lab and INROADS, Inc. were also present.

The event is described by the Scholars Academy as "an excellent opportunity for students within the College of Sciences and Technology to connect with prospective graduate schools and research/internship programs."

In addition to speaking with the program and company representatives, students also presented STEM research posters.
