UHD Study Abroad Program Heading to Paris, Venice

Students in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences have a unique opportunity to blend classroom instruction with an educational trip Europe next May.

The CHSS summer study abroad program will take students from three courses to Paris, France and Venice, Italy for 12 days to experience first-hand the concepts and places they studied in the classroom. Students will present and conduct research and incorporate the trip activities into the context of their classes, which include History of Renaissance Art I, Public Memory and Rhetorical Criticism, and Introduction to Creative Writing - The Art of Travel.

Planned activities in Paris include visits to the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Cathedral of Notre Dame and Versailles. In Venice, students will enjoy the sights of Piazza San Marco, Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs.
