Urban Education MAT/ACP Program Holding Info Sessions for Students

UHD's Urban Education Department will hold three information sessions for students interested in participating in SEEQUE (Secondary Educators Engaged in Quality Urban Education), UHD's special urban high school teaching training and master's degree program. Sessions will be:

Monday, Sept. 19, noon to 1 p.m., N610, One Main Building

Thursday, Sept. 29, 5to 6 p.m., N610, One Main Building

Wednesday, Oct. 5, 4 to 5 p.m., C100, Commerce St. Building

This program is designed for students interested in becoming urban high school teachers and is funded by a $300,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Participating students gain valuable teaching experience while earning a Master of Arts in Teaching with Certification (MAT/ACP) degree.

The deadline to enroll in this program for the Spring 2012 semester is Nov. 15. Application information is available here.
