Are you interested in cycling but don’t know where to begin? The UHD Cycling Team is sponsoring a workshop at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, in room N449, One Main Building, where attendees can learn about buying a bike and building a cycling kit.
This one hour informational session will explain how newbie cyclists can buy an entry-level road or hybrid bike and the equipment needed to be safe and happy on the road.
Special topics include:
- selecting bikes for women, fit and comfort,
- finding a good deal on a used bike,
- where and where not to scrimp on equipment and clothing, and
- how to make the most out of the services offered by local cycling shops.
