100 Club and UHD Continue Strong Relationship

UHD has close ties with several organizations and nonprofits in the community. One such group, is The 100 Club, Houston.

The Club is a civic organization dedicated to providing assistance to law enforcement agencies, their officers and officers' families. It also provides scholarships for students at UHD who are employed in law enforcement. The 100 Club Scholarship pays the tuition, fees and books for qualifying undergraduate and graduate students in the Criminal Justice Department. The scholarship program is available to certified peace officers in Harris and eight surrounding counties. Thus far, the Club has provided more than $3 million in scholarship awards and at least 200 officers have graduated from UHD with bachelor's or master's degrees through the support of this organization.
