UHD Celebrates International Education 2015

As a part of UHD's celebration of Citizenship Month Houston 2015, the campus will host a series of events, including a study abroad fair and a film screening of "Landfill Harmonic" Nov. 16-20 in commemoration of International Education Week 2015.

International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is an effort to promote programs that offer Americans a global prospective and to attract students from abroad to study and share experiences in the United States.

Below is a schedule of events for the week.

Monday, Nov. 16

  • International Food Fair, A300, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 17

  • World Trivia Challenge, Mural Area, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • World Trivia Challenge, Shea street Building , 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 18

  • Fashion Show, Mural Area, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Clothing donations are welcomed.)
  • World Trivia Challenge, College of Public Service, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 19

  • "Landfill Harmonic" movie screening at the Sundance Cinemas, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Virtual Study on Study Abroad & Leadership, S370, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Passport Fair, S370, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 20

  • ELI Harvest Party, A300, 12-2 p.m.
